Men teach that the church doesn’t matter but from God’s Holy scriptures teaches the church matters a lot!
“praising God and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.”
From the above scripture my question is that how can the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved if doesn’t matter?
Whom are we to hear and obey? men or God?
The answer to the above questions can’t come from anywhere else except from God. Peter and other apostles responded to the questions and said from following Holy scripture;
But Peter and the other apostles answered and said: “We ought to obey God rather than men.”( Acts 5:29).
Friends it’s vital to note that the voice from the cloud which is of God the father confirmed to the apostles whom they are to hear from the following scripture;
And behold, Moses and Elijah appeared to them, talking with Him. Then Peter answered and said to Jesus, “Lord, it is good for us to be here; if You wish, let us make here three tabernacles: one for You, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.” While he was still speaking, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them; and suddenly a voice came out of the cloud, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Hear Him!”( Matt. 17:3-5).
Our Lord Jesus Christ himself said the following; “And if anyone hears My words and does not believe, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world but to save the world. He who rejects Me, and does not receive My words, has that which judges him—the word that I have spoken will judge him in the last day. For I have not spoken on My own authority; but the Father who sent Me gave Me a command, what I should say and what I should speak. And I know that His command is everlasting life. Therefore, whatever I speak, just as the Father has told Me, so I speak.” ( Jn. 12:47-50).
The scripture say the the following about the church was purchased by God’s blood! ( Acts 20:28) , Jesus Christ loved the church and gave himself to her! ( Eph. 5:25) and was bought at a price (1 Cor. 6:19-20).
Apostle John being moved by the Holy Spirit in a vision he foresaw what will happen on the last day as we read the following passage; “And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books. The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works.”( Rev. 20:12-13).
Friends, we need to take heed from what we read in the passage above because we will be judged by the things written in the books and no doubt this are the New Testament books because is where Christ Jesus has spoken in them! ( Heb. 1:1-2).
Folks, how impossible it’s according to the scriptures we have read be that the church doesn’t matter! when one day, one time you will stand before God’s throne for judgement according to the things written in the scriptures where will you be? ( Matt. 25:31-46). May God bless you all as we seek to do His will to make us to Heaven after the life we are living in on this earth! ( Matt. 7:21).
