- Heavenly Blessings – Ephesians 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ
- Justification – Romans 3:24 Being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus
- No Condemnation – Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit
- Life & Freedom – Romans 8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.
- Eternal Security – Romans 8:39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
- Righteousness of GOD – 2 Corinthians 5:21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
- Redemption – Romans 3:24 being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus
- GOD’s Acceptance – Ephesians 1:6 to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved.
- Light – Ephesians 5:8 For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light
- Forgiveness – Ephesians 1:7 In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace
- No Confidence in the Flesh – Philippians 3:3 For we are the circumcision, who worship God in the Spirit, rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh
- Completeness – Colossians 2:10 and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power.
- A Holy Calling – 2 timothy 1:9 who has saved us and called us with a holy calling not according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began.
- Salvation – 2 Timothy 2:10 but has now been revealed by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who has abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel
The Bible told us that all who have OBEYED the gospel of Jesus Christ are ONE in Him. 1 Corinthians 12:12-27 .
For the Holy Spirit will teach you in that very hour what you ought to say. Then one from the crowd said to Him, “Teacher, tell my brother to divide the inheritance with me.” But He said to him, “Man, who made Me a judge or an arbitrator over you?” and He said to him, “Take heed and beware of covetousness, for one’s life does not consist in the abundance of the things he possesses.”
Then He spoke a parable to them saying: “The ground of a certain rich man yielded plentifully. And he thought within himself, saying, ‘What shall I do, since I have no room to store my crops?’ So he said, ‘i will do this: i will pull down my barns and build greater, and there I will store all my crops and my goods. And I will say to my soul, “Soul, you have many goods laid up for many years; take your ease; eat, drink, and be merry.” But God said to him, ‘Fool! This night your soul will be required of you; then whose will those things be which you have provided?’ So is he who lays up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.”
Then He said to His disciples, “Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; nor about the body, what you will put on. Life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing.
Consider the ravens, for they neither sow nor reap, which have neither storehouse nor barn; and God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than the birds? And which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature? If you then are not able to do the least, why are you anxious for the rest? Consider the lilies, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; and yet i say to you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
Furthermore, everyone who have obeyed the gospel of Jesus Christ are Saved and are ADDED to the church by the Lord, Acts 2:47.
We are called Christians, Acts 11:26. We are told in Romans 12:4-5 “For just as we have many members in one body and all the members do not have the same function, so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another.”
Everyone who have obeyed the gospel of Christ are in Him and are called, disciples, followers, saints, children of God… Peter told us in 1 Peter 2:9-10 through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, “but you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy.” God calls us HIS “special people”, we therefore should not go beyond what is written!
Listen to the apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians 4:6 “Now these things, brethren, I have figuratively transferred to myself and Apollos for your sakes, that you may learn in us not to think beyond what is written, that none of you may be puffed up on behalf of one against the other. For who makes you differ from another?”
KNOW WHO YOU ARE IN CHRIST JESUS:
No one OUTSIDE OF CHRIST are called by these names that Peter called the Christians whom he wrote to! Let me be more blunt and straightforward with this for your understanding …
No Baptist person is included, a Baptist, Pentecostal, Adventist, Catholic, Jehovah’s Witness, or Mormon person is not a Christian! No one who is in any of the religious denominations across the world is included, a religious denominational person is not a Christian! And, no one who is living in disobedience to the gospel of Jesus Christ is included! These Bible names that Peter mentioned are reserved for and are given specifically to everyone who becomes obedient to the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Therefore, if you desire to become a Christian, a child of God, a saint, a royal priesthood, etc…
You must first give up your old ways, your sinful habits, and your religious practices, and obey the gospel of Jesus Christ. Your sins will be forgiven, and you will receive the Holy Spirit. Your name will be added to the Lamb’s book of life, the Lord will add you to the church, you will be walking in newness of life in Christ, and you too will be numbered among God’s chosen generation.
We who have obeyed the gospel of Jesus Christ are ONE in the body/church of Christ… there are no special names given to any of us to single us out to be different nor above the others. All the names given to Christians in the Bible are given to everyone of us by God through inspiration of the Holy Spirit, and NOT by man.
Christians, children of God, followers of Jesus Christ…
The Bible said in Galatians 3:28… “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for you are all one in Christ Jesus.” That means, no matter where we are from, as long as we are obedient followers of Jesus Christ, (as long as we have obeyed the gospel of Jesus Christ), we are one… we become one… IN CHRIST. We are all brothers and sisters IN Christ Jesus.
